Early Netherlandish and Northern Renaissance Art:

In this comprehensive volume, leading authorities fully describe some 170 illuminated works on paper, the artists who created them and the major influences on manuscript painting in northern Europe from before 1470 to 1561.
- Orenstein, Nadine M. (ed.), et al. Pieter Bruegel the Elder: Drawings and Prints (exh. cat.). New York: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, 2001. More than 140 graphic landscapes and allegories by the exceptional Netherlandish artist Pieter Bruegel the Elder are thoroughly discussed. Some were recently determined by scientific methods to have been executed by another hand.
